We offer a range of trusted pet care services, serving Metheringham and surrounding villages. Services include dog home boarding, dog day care, dog walking, drop-in visits, puppy and kitten care, senior pet care, and small animal visits. Each service is tailored to your pet’s needs, providing feeding, attention, play, and gentle care to keep them happy, healthy, and well-cared-for whilst you’re away from home. All visits and services are carried out by Liz Taylor; a trusted, insured, licensed, and DBS-checked pet carer.

Pet owners often prefer a quieter, more personalised setting for their dog’s stay. Our home boarding provides individual attention, structured routines and a safe, family environment. 

You should look for a licensed provider who is insured, DBS checked, trained in Pet First Aid, offers meet and greets, and provides clear communication during your dog’s stay. 

Our prices can be found on our Price List page. For dog walking and drop-in visits, we currently service villages within a five-mile radius of Metheringham (LN4 3EE).  For locations beyond this radius, a small mileage fee per mile will apply. For bespoke services, please contact us for a quote.

Yes, we are fully licensed in accordance with North Kesteven District Council's regulations. This ensures we meet required welfare and safety standards. 

We are based in Metheringham - approximately 20–25 minutes from Lincoln by car. Many clients choose us specifically because we offer a peaceful home environment outside the busy city centre.

Yes, home boarding can be particularly suitable for older dogs who prefer a calm environment with closer supervision and routine care. 

Liz Taylor, the founder and owner of Ruby's Taylored Pet Care, is Pet First Aid qualified and DBS-checked. She is also fully-insured and licensed by North Kesteven District Council. Further details relating to her credentials can be found here. Additionally, Liz will provide evidence of all certifications and credentials at your first Meet and Greet appointment.

For dog walking and drop-in visits, we serve all villages within a five-mile radius of Metheringham (LN4 3EE), including Branston, Dunston, Nocton, Potterhanworth, and Scopwick. For locations beyond this radius, a small mileage fee per mile will apply. For dog home boarding and day care, we welcome dogs from all over the wider area, including Lincoln and Sleaford.

We start by arranging a convenient time to meet you and your pet(s) during a meet and greet. Before this, we’ll send you the necessary forms to complete so we can understand your pet’s needs and routines. The meet and greet allows us to build trust, get familiar with your pet’s personality, and ensure everyone feels comfortable. Once both parties are happy, the booking is confirmed and an invoice is sent via email. For new customers and ad hoc services, pre-payment is requested for peace of mind. 

As a Pet First Aid trained provider, we can respond quickly to minor issues. In the event of a more serious emergency, we would contact your registered vet immediately and keep you fully informed. 

School holidays and summer months book up quickly, often several months in advance. We recommend enquiring early to secure your preferred dates.
